Clouding on lenses Citrus Park Mall, Tampa Fl - lenscrafters
I purchased my glasses for $600 four months ago. About a month ago I noticed that they were clouding up a little. Then it started to spread and I could not remove the spots. I took them back and they told me I must have gotten hair spray or some chemical on them. I told her I do not use hair spray and no other chemical has come in contact with them. She said if I have the insurance I can replace them for $25.00. I specifically asked her if this was a common problem and she said no it happens from time to time but not common. She said the coating is wearing off. I said I have worn glasses all of my life and I have never had this happen before. I have managed to keep and wear the same pair of glasses for 4 years without an issue. I wear my glasses all the time. Needless to say I paid the $25. and I will have a new pair in two weeks. I can tell you I will not return to Lenscrafters when I need new glasses. When I got home I googled this particular problem only to find out that yes it is a common issue at Lenscrafters. Oh and by the way she told me that the copay is now $50.00 effective 10/1/2014. Gee I wonder why I did not get an email about that.
