  • Lenscrafters

Went for the first time for reading. Was talked into progressive. Completely blurred and had to have head bent almost all the way back to see computer. Returned them and asked for bi-focal. Was called and told that because the doctor wanted me to have distance (slight, slight) that I would have to have that above the bi-focal. Now what does that do, it makes you still put your chin down and look over the rims to talk to people close to you. I was told if I did not put in the distance that they would lower my reading script. GO figure! Now after couple hundred dollars they are in a junk... More...

  • Shoddy progressive lenses

I brought in my own Ray Ban Clubmaster frames and a prescription from the eye doctor next door to Lenscrafters to have progressive lenses installed. I immediately noticed something was off and I could not see clearly. I was told that I had to adjust to the new prescription and two months later I still could not see properly through them so I had to resort to wearing my old progressive lenses. I should not be able to see better through my old glasses than my new ones!!! I went back several times and was told there was nothing they could do as it was outside of the 30 period. I went back... • not customer oriented, wouldn't stand by their product

The end of September 2014 I bought a pair of glasses from the Lens Crafter in Valley West Mall, Des Moines, Iowa. I spent over $500 on them. Living 2 hours away they had to ship them to me in October. After trying to adapt to the progression of the lens and the fit, which my eyelashes actually hit the lenses I went back for help in January. My eye doctor had reviewed the lenses and told me the progression was wrong for me. Lens Crafters tried to adjust the fit so that my eyelashes did not hit the lenses, however in regard to the issue with the lenses they said the best they would do... More...

  • Clouding on lenses Citrus Park Mall, Tampa Fl

I purchased my glasses for $600 four months ago. About a month ago I noticed that they were clouding up a little. Then it started to spread and I could not remove the spots. I took them back and they told me I must have gotten hair spray or some chemical on them. I told her I do not use hair spray and no other chemical has come in contact with them. She said if I have the insurance I can replace them for $25.00. I specifically asked her if this was a common problem and she said no it happens from time to time but not common. She said the coating is wearing off. I said I have worn... More...

  • Lenscrafters late delivery

Initially we selected a pair of frames for my son at Lenscrafters at Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs . The lab at the store said the lenses would work in the frames, but they would have to send them out. The store called back a few days later saying they wouldn't work after all. We picked out another pair that were sent out again. The lab couldn't do it, then they went to the wrong lab, then another lab. All the while we have been "a few days" away from getting glasses for our son. They have our money, but six weeks later our son still has no glasses. They... More...

  • Rude to Customers

I had a pair of sunglass lenses put in by Lenscrafters (in Braintree, MA) less than 8 months ago. Recently, I have noticed that their very expensive and "high-tech" coating (which they always market) was already bubbling in a few places. Since it had been less than a year, I went back to their store assuming that they would be understanding about replacing the lenses. However I couldn't get anywhere until I asked to see the store manager. Then, not only did the manager not express any regret, but he was extremely rude to me and seemed to be accusing me of being responsible... More...

  • No integrity

I should have read the reviews prior to booking an appointment. Still I didn't learn from them overcharging me from last year, that was partly due to my not so great insurance coverage. I've been wearing corrective lenses for decades. This would be my second visit to this office, I was in need of new glasses and my old prescription expired, so I dropped in on my lunch break. This was one of few places my insurance covered. The office assistants were nice. They tried to upsell my eye dilation but I told the girl that I wanted to keep everything under my insurance coverage.... More...

  • Still no sunglasses!

I ordered my prescription sunglasses on March 12th 2014 and was told the lens would take a maximum of 10 business days to come in. I received a phone call 4 days ago to tell me they are still waiting for them to come in (and that it could take up to a maximum of 14 business days). So now I'm waiting to find out when they'll arrive. I'm hoping they'll be in on Tuesday because that would be not only 14 business days but also 3 weeks in total. After paying $400 for a pair of prescription RayBans I hope I get them in! More...

  • Worst quality of lens - DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!!

I made a pair of normal glasses less than two years ago at the Florida Sarasota Square mall shop paying $329. Several months ago, I noticed some erosion on all different locations on both lens, I went to the shop and talk to the guy who is in charge of making glasses. Without looking much into it, he said those are scratches caused by me. I don't buy his story, I then called their headquarter and the lady said she said she will let the store manager know. On Saturday, the store manager called me and he told me I had scratches and they cannot do anything (without even looking at my... More...

  • Lenscrafters - DO NOT BUY

I would STRONGLY recommend not to buy at "Lenscrafters" Because they have this shady business practices - they mark all their lenses at twice the regular price. Then they give you 50% OFF on lenses if you buy the frames from them. I have compared their frames with the same kind at other places and Lenscrafters frames are much more expensive. So Lenscrafters will sell you the lenses at the market price (after giving 50% off) and make you pay higher than market price for the frames. I have compared the prices between Lenscrafters and Laurier Opticals for the same prescription... More...

  • Not delivered on time

I ordered a prescription sunglass on April 12, 2013 and was provided estimated delivery date of April 22, 2013. On April 23 my wife told that she got a call that it has come. I went to pick up my glass but was told that it has been returned due to quality issue. I repeatedly asked "what was the quality issue?" Was it not made as per the prescription specification? My purpose was to make myself sure that I will get the lenses for my eye as per prescribed for me and all the etra I paid for non reflecting coating, anti scratch coating, etc.But the lady keep on repeating "quality... • Didn't deliver in time or rectify

Took broken glasses in and they couldn't repair. I ordered new ones and paid when ordered, told it would be ready in 10 days. I called them on Day 10 and they were not ready, had been delivered but not installed or inspected. Would be ready later that day or the next and would call me. At 5 pm the next, I called them again and still not ready - still had to be inspected. I wrote the company customer service email and got a call back. Picked them up the next day. Was told by the company that the manager would talk to me when I picked them up and make the situation right. That did... More...

  • LensCrafters Mobile Alabama Bellair Mall bad service overpriced

Purchased a pair of glasses from LensCrafters back in March of this year 2013. They told me it would be 7 to 10 days standard time for my type of prescription and lenses that I needed I was okay with that. First they said they would call me when they were ready they didn't call me and when I called they told me that they had to send the lenses back because the lenses were not in working order, apparently the lab person damaged them so they had to get new ones. Again I had to call and see if they were ready as they hadnt called to tell me they wrre ready. This time I went to pick... More...

  • price of lenses

After not being able to find the frames I wanted, I ordered a pair and took it to Lenscrafters to have them install lenses. They quoted me a price of over $400! Walmart had quoted $125, but it involved a 10 day wait. When I asked why the huge price difference, the store manager very dismissively told me it was an issue of quality. I left Lenscrafters, went to another eyeglass store in the same mall and recieved my lenses for $86 in 1 1/2 hours time. I went back to Lenscrafters and reported that my glasses seemed just fine and asked if they could explain the quality difference as my... More...

The customer service was TERRIBLE! I had purchased a pair of glasses and had personally spoken to the person who was assisting me that I was going to get a certain pair of glasses. She had assured me that the glasses that i wanted were in stock and the lens were as well. I ask my aunt to go pick them up and turns out they were nothing what she had said they were going to be. I call the store and speak to the woman who's name was Alejandra. Ends up telling me to get affordable glasses. saying that I couldn't afford them? • LensCrafters : they wouldnt stand behind obviously defective product

I purchased eyeglasses from their store in Connecticut. within months the lenses began to 'cloud-up' beginning at the edges .. but i didnt really mind .. not til the width of the opaque cloudiness was about 1/8-1/4 inch! By that time i had returned to Massachusetts where i brought the eyeglasses to the local Lenscrafters. They said they were'nt responsible. End of story .. I've never had aNY business so brusquely toss me aside .. plain rudeness. Even to imagine that the glasses were not defective would be madness. More...

I have gone back tiwce and they supposedly re-ground the lenses in transition bi-focals to accommodate reading and computer work - they do not fit properly still - I really doubt that they did anything to the glasses except send me away for an hour and readjust the bow pieces when I returned - As I am shopping around -I find that their prices are higher than most competitors - I should have investigated more carefully to being with - I am so aggrevated that I am going to get a pair somewhere else - More...

  • Horrible service and product

I am a repeat customer of Lenscrafters. Went to Inland Center Mall in San Bernardino, Ca to get exam and glasses. The exam was pretty thorough. The optomitrist was professional enough at this time. Although, when I did get my glasses three days later, (bifocals), it was totally the wrong percription. At that time, I went to the Hemet, Ca store do to my location and was re-examined. The Doctor agreed that this was the wrong perscription and ordered another pair. At that time I told the Dr. that I wanter to see at approximatley 22 to 24 inches with the bifocal part. IAt the counter, I... More...

  • associate broke my frames and I HAD to pay!!!

Visiting the Lenscrafters in the Visalia Mall 5-2012 was a pleasant experience. First, I had a complete eye exam and was treated with respect and really enjoyed the experience. I had to get a new prescription. I told the woman helping me that I wanted to use my current Tommy Hilfiger frames and my current sunglasses. I had spent a lot of money on them and they still were in perfect condition. I came back a few days later (and saw a different associate). As she was adjusting my new lenses into my frame. SNAP, she broke my frames! I was a bit shocked but figured, heck, she can fix them. NOPE,... More...

  • Lenscrafters is a fraud

Lenscrafters took advantage of a senior in 70's with some dementia by requiring the senior to pay the full amount for the prescription glasses and then made insurance claim submission for the full amount for prescription glasses without refunding the senior for the amount ($350) covered by her insurance carrier. Both police and BBB notified of this scam. More...

  • lenscrafter billing irregularity

I am writing to seek a proper contact address to report a troubling encounter at the Lenscrafters in Hillsboro OR. We (family of 3) visit Lenscrafters hillsboro several times year for our annual check ups and contacts and frames. We were dealt very rudely and irregularly today when we visited to get our lenses. We were told that our insurance (eyemed) which has remaining coverage cannot cover for the lenses since we billed for a few boxes earlier this year. Earlier this year when we visited (in person) the sales people at the desk misinformed that we can use part of the eyemed... More...

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. My husband recently had surgery and required new glasses to improve his eye sight; therefore, we decided to return to Lenscrafters at the Charleston Mall, Charleston, WV, because of the previous experience. Realizing it was a holiday weekend, New Years, we called to ask if they were open. The salesperson said they were closing early but were very busy. I told them it would be at least three o'clock before we were able to arrive since we were at least 1 1/2 hours away. We were told to drive in because "at this point we will have difficult closing any earlier that 3:00 p.m.".... More...

I purchased my contacts from Lenscrafters and they were fast to send me my trial pair, however it's been 14 days since I placed my order for my 3 month supply. This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I went back to Lenscrafters (repeat customer) to buy two new pairs of glasses for myself and one for my husband. They only care about rining up the sale. After that, all concern for the customer flies out the window. I will never go to them again. I spoke to the local store many times and to corporate twice. • Lenscrafters doesn't deliver on promise

I lived in Bayonne, NJ for most of my life. I have needed glasses for about the last 17 years. For the last 10 years or so, I used Wise Optical in Bayonne, where everything was superb. I recently moved, so when I needed new lenses for my three pair of glasses, I looked for someplace close who had a lab on premises. I found Lenscrafters in Springfield, NJ. On my initial visit, I explicitly explained that I needed the sections of my trifocals to be exactly the same size as my originals. They measured and told me it was no problem. Long story short, three trips later and three times wrong,... More...

  • Lens crafters complete failure review

    1) making an appointment at the Lincolnwood Mall Lenscrafters is pointless. I made an appointment and still had to wait an hour while walk-ins went in ahead of me. 2) I paid for a complete fitting for RGP lenses (I have astigmatism) and was told that my lenses would be in within 5-7 days. 3) Dropped by after 5 days to see when the lenses would be in, and was told they hadn't been ordered yet, and was given some sketchy excuse that 'corporate' had to approve the order because the lenses were custom made to meet my needs. 4) So, no lenses by the promised time, nobody...
